Dr Angad Dhillon is a Consultant Gastroenterologist based at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust in London. He qualified from Imperial College London, and completed postgraduate training in hospitals across London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.


He received specialist training in advanced endoscopic techniques for the safe and effective removal of gastrointestinal polyps during a 3-year advanced endoscopy fellowship post at St Mark’s Hospital, a national centre of excellence for intestinal disorders and endoscopy. He has conducted research in the diagnosis and treatment of precancer and early cancer in the bowel, and has published extensively in areas of endoscopy and inflammatory bowel disease.


Dr Dhillon is National Bowel Cancer Screening Programme accredited endoscopist. He leads the complex polypectomy and capsule endoscopy service at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and his specialist interests include the diagnosis and management of diseases and disorders affecting the oesophagus, stomach, small and large bowel, and liver.


Dr Dhillon prioritises the highest quality and comfortable day-case gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures for both diagnosis and therapy, and offers a holistic approach to healthcare by ensuring that the wider impact of a patient’s symptoms on their life is addressed. He also ensures that his patients are fully involved in the subsequent therapeutic decision-making process.
